Ocean City, a year-round destination, experiences its peak season in the summer when the island is full of visitors from near and far. The city’s population rises from about 16,000 in the off-season to about 125,000 during the summer.
Since its incorporation in 1897 when it established its current form of government, the town has grown and prospered into the nationally recognized summer destination it is today. It continues to improve its regional and national exposure by providing a family-friendly seaside resort with merchants that promote positive products and services.
The Ocean City Chamber of Commerce supports the needs of local businesses while encouraging and educating the area’s visitors. We serve as a hub for local businesses, year-round residents, and visitors. Our 500+ business members work in unison to keep Ocean City one of the top-rated shore towns in the country.
