Ocean City Arts Center
Ocean City -- Photographs will be accepted through March 26 at the Ocean City Arts Center for the April Juried Art Show.
Up to four photographs may be submitted at a cost of $18 each. All work must be framed with glass or plexi-glass and be ready to hang with wire attached. Traditional photography and digital/computer generated photos are eligible. Overall frame size should not exceed 24 by 28 inches.
Prizes are Best of Show at $200; Second Place at $150; Third Place at $100 and Two Honorable Mentions at $50 each.
Photographs that are accepted will be exhibited in the main gallery throughout April and should be for sale. An Awards reception will be held Friday, April 12 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. The reception will be free and open to the public.
Executive Director Rosalyn Lifshin said, " The Juried Photography Show gets bigger every year with more entrys. Many of our winners go on to earn solo shows in our gallery. The Juried Show is a great way of exposing a photographer's work to the public."
Applications are available at the Ocean City Arts Center, 1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City or by visiting www.oceancityartscenter.org. The Arts Center is open 9 am to 9pm, Monday through Friday, and 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday.
