THE CITY’S CHRISTMAS PARADE SCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND WILL NOT BE RESCHEDULED

Indoors: Ocean City Train Show, Sat. and Sunday at Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. Hours 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday. Features large running displays and vendors selling trains, train parts and decorative accessories for holiday home displays. $3 for adults, $1 for children at the door. Ideal family event.

 

Indoors: Santa Paws: Get your pet’s photo taken with Santa at the Ocean City Humane Society, Shelter Rd. off Bay and Tennessee Ave. from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. Saturday, $10 fee benefits the Ocean City Humane Society (609) 399-2018.

Indoors: Saturday- Ocean City Pops presents Joy to the World, a symphonic and choral celebration of the joyous sounds of Christmas, at Ocean City Tabernacle, 5th and Wesley Ave.,7:30 p.m.Tickets $15 at the door.

Indoors: Jamie Moyer, the durable Phillies Pitching Ace and MLB All star, visits the Ocean City Library, 1735 Simpson Ave., on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Main Lecture Room. Moyer notched 269 wins during his career, more than Hall of Fame Pitcher Bob Feller and other greats. He has written a book and will talk about how he defied the radar gun using control rather than speed and defeated time. Admission is free.

Indoors: The Ocean Arts Center pottery students and instructors will exhibit their work and offer beautiful ceramic pieces for sale from bowls to mugs to wall hangings and more. (Artists reception tonight, Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.) Saturday, hours 9 a.m. till 3 p.m., closed Sunday. Open Mon. - Fri., 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Exhibit runs through Dec. 21. Outdoors: Free Horse and Carriage rides Saturday and Sunday through Christmas, starting from in front of City Hall, 9th and Asbury Ave., from noon till 3 p.m.

2014 Seasonal Beach Tags, perfect stocking stuffers, will be on sale this weekend for $20 at the Roy Gillian Welcome Center, Rt. 52 Causeway, Sat. from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sun. from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and at the Aquatic and Fitness Center, 17th and Simpson Ave., Sat. and Sun. from 9a.m. to 6 p.m.
