Model building is a fascinating world and has many facets.  It’s a way to express your creativity, to better understand construction and design, and to learn about the past.  Join the Ocean City Historical Museum on April 27, 2013 from 10AM to 1PM as we delve into the world of models.  We will have models of all sorts on display and you’ll be able to ask questions and learn from veteran model builders.  You are sure to learn something and you might even have some fun!

Held at the Ocean City Community Center’s Senior Center, this event is for children 8 and up.  Admission will be $10 and all children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.  Registration and payment shall be made in advance.  Lunch will be served, so please make allergies known at registration.  Each child will be given a model kit depending on age/skill level.  They will have an opportunity to work on it throughout the event and take home with them.  Any questions, contact the Museum @ 609-399-1801.

The Museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 10AM to 4PM; Thursday 10AM to 7PM; Saturday 11AM to 2PM.  Located in the Ocean City Community Center, the Museum exhibits images and artifacts that tell the stories of Ocean City’s founding and evolution.  A research library contains materials for people looking to do history on their own.  A gift shop is also available that carries unique gifts, books and other history items.  The Museum is supported by the City of Ocean City.
