WHAT: Opening ceremonies for Ocean City’s 4th Annual Tribute to the Philippines

WHEN:  Saturday July 20th at 10 a.m.

WHERE: In front of the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace


WHAT ELSE: Consul Zaldy Patron of the Philippine Consulate of New York, Mayor Jay Gillian of Ocean City and Michelle Gillian, Executive Director of the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce will speak at the opening ceremonies. There will be entertainment by Philippine dancers and instrumentalists and a musical Yo Yo demonstration by Champion Yo Yo performers.

The Tribute/Festival features displays of Filipino crafts, products and services, tourism displays and packaged foods. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 20-21. Admission is free.

It will be held in the Pavilion area of the Music Pier.

On Sunday Filipino physicians, nurses and dieticians will present at free Health Fair in the Senior Room of the Community Center, 17th and Simpson Ave. from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
