Between Ocean City and Somers Point

The 25th Annual Trail of Two Cities 5K Run/Walk over the Causeway between Ocean City and Somers Point is set for Sat., Nov. 1 starting 8 a.m.

The event begins at the Transportation Center, 9th and Haven Ave. in Ocean City and ends at JFK Park in Somers Point.

It provides a spectacular experience for both runners and walkers alike. If you’re a runner, you get to test your endurance over the high inclines of the bridges. If you’re a walker, you are able to enjoy the scenic wetlands and Bay plus a panoramic view of Ocean City. Bring your camera and snap some spectacular photos.

 

The run is open to all ages from 9 and under to 70 and over. Pre-registration received by Oct. 29 is $25, day of the race at the Ocean City Transportation Center is $30. No mail-ins after Oct. 29.

Family Rate: Immediate families up to four people can register for $75. Separate registration forms are required for each family participant. Families must pre-register and all registration forms must from the same household, mailed together and received by Oct. 23. Awards are given to first over all male and female in age groups and top three male and female finishers. Age groups are under 9 years, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 plus.

Commemorative shirts are guaranteed to first 400 registrants while supplies last. Refreshments will be available at the end of the race. Beat the crowd and pick up entry packet, (pre-registrants only) Fri. Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ocean City Aquatic and Fitness Center, 1735 Simpson Ave.

SORRY: NO PETS, BIKES, SKATEBOARDS, OR ROLLER BLADES PERMITTED. The course is police controlled. Event is held rain or shine.

Race Day registration starts 7 a.m. at the Transportation Center. Bus will be available at the finish line in Somers Point to transport runners to start before the race. Bus will transport runners back to Ocean City following the race. The award ceremony will be held in Somers Point after all runners have completed the course.
