Ocean City Farmer's and Crafter's Market begins Wednesday, June 30th and runs every Wednesday through August from 8am-1pm at 6th and Asbury. Jersey Fresh produce and hand made crafts.

Evenings Along Asbury - Open air artists, demonstrations, activities, music, outside dining, shopping and dining specials, free parking, 6th-11th Streets on Asbury, 5-8pm.


Market Days - free pony rides, puppet shows, face painting, music, clowns, balloon sculptures, Downtown, 6th-11th on Asbury, 10am-1pm.

Historic Inn-to-Inn Tours begin Thursday, July 1st and run every Thursday through August. Tours begin at 2pm. Tickets are $13 per person. Trolley boards at the ticket booth at the corner of 7th and Central Ave beginning at 1:30pm. Tickets may be pre-purchased at the Ocean City Welcome Center at 16 East 9th Street.

Boardwalk Family Nights - fun for the whole family with bands, magicians, karaoke, and much more, 6th-14th on Boardwalk, 7:30-9:30pm.

Highlight of the 4th of July celebration will be a Really Big fireworks display on Sunday, July 4th at 9pm. The Fireworks will be shot from a barge off the 9th Street Beach. This permits the use of larger fireworks because they are not being detonated close to land. The exhibition will be accompanied by boardwalk music that can also be heard by tuning into WIBG FM, 94.3 on the dial.

The annual Air Circus Kite Flying Contest will be held starting 5:30 p.m. at the 9th Street Beach on July 4. There will also be a concert on the Boardwalk by the rock band Tidal Wave while the kites are flying.

Two Bike Parades are scheduled, neither is on the 4th. The Gardens Civic Assn. will hold its event on Sat., July 3 starting at the Longport Bridge. Registration is 9 a.m., the Parade starts 10 a.m. The South Ocean City Parade is set for Mon., July 5 starting at 40th and Asbury Ave. Registration is 9 a.m., parade starts 10 a.m.

Friday, July 2 starting at 6:00 PM at Our Lady of Good Council church at 40th St. in Ocean City, there will be a 5K memorial run for Sam Robb a 20 year old summer resident of Ocean City who died of cancer 2 years ago. Run benefits CURE Childhood Cancer, http://www.curechildhoodcancer.org/ in Sam's memory.

On Sat., July 3 at 8 p.m., the renowned Kauriga Balalaika Orchestra will perform a lively concert of Russian, Ukrainian and Slavic folk music at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. Folk dancers and singers will be included in the melodic and inspiring program. The Matthews Brothers will present a free piano, trumpet, organ and vocal concert 7 p.m. on July 4th at the Tabernacle, 5th and Wesley Ave. Call 399-1915. The Stockton Monday Night Concert series begins with Country Roads, the music of John Denver and Dan Fogelberg, 8 p.m. Mon., July 5th at the Music Pier. The Ocean City Pops and Ocean City Theatre Company present Oklahoma!-a full scale musical production on July 6 and 7 at 8 p.m. and July 8 at 2 and 8 p.m. at the Hughes Performing Arts Center. The Pops will be led by Musical Director William Scheible and Michael Hartman, Artistic Director of the Ocean City Theatre Company, is handling the production. On July 7, The Gizmo Guys, an outstanding juggling team, entertain at the Music Pier with a humorous show for audiences of all ages. Show time is 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $9 and may be ordered on line at www.ocnj.us or from the Music Pier Box Office. For group sales, contact Dana at 609-652-4786.

The first Sand Sculpting Contest of the season will be held on July 7 starting 9 a.m. at the 6th Street Beach. There will be categories for all ages, 5 and under, 6-8, 9-12, Teens, individual adults and families. Entry is free and prizes will be awarded.

The Ocean City Historical Museum, 17th and Simpson Ave., presents Wednesdays for Kids on July 7. Families are invited to drop by for a 45 min-tour of the facility and an art making activity. There are three sessions, 10:30, 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., $3 per child. On July 8, at 7 p.m., Ken Cooper will speak about 131 Years of Real Estate in Ocean City.
