The City will hold its 38th annual Flower Show June 4-6 at the Music Pier, Boardwalk & Moorlyn Terrace.

The theme this year is Vacation U.S.A. The Artistic Design category will feature arrangements based on vacation spots throughout the country. There is also a Horticultural Division featuring roses, orchids, cactus, perennials, window boxes etc. Entry is free to both competitors and the public. Visitors may leave a donation to support the event. Hours are 2 to 9 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

A Trade Fair in the Pavilion area of the Pier offering flower products for sale is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Lu Lu Temple will be in town this weekend for its annual outing in Ocean City. The Shrine organization runs a hospital for children in Philadelphia, one of the numerous hospitals operated by the Shriners throughout the country.

The Lu Lu Temple Concert Band, which has been entertaining audiences for over 100 years, will present a free concert 8 p.m. Fri., June 4 at the Sports and Civic Center, 6th Street off Boardwalk.

The Temple will Parade on the Boardwalk starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The organization will be led by William C. Adamson, Jr., Potentate.

Boardwalk Family Fun Fest: The Annual Spring Boardwalk Fun Fest sponsored by the Boardwalk Merchants Assn. is set for June 5-6 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the boardwalk. There will be a juried craft show, face painters, bands, and pony rides at 11th St. Enjoy a fun day on the boardwalk with lots of free entertainment.

The Mitchell McAllister Walk to raise funds for Emmanuel Cancer Foundation's Direct Service Programs is set for June 6 starting at 5th and Boardwalk. The Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 81 is conducting mandatory boating classes in Ocean City through June. Boating Certification is required to operate a boat in New Jersey tidal waters.
